Beads and Threads and Fabric :)

Ordered me up some Gorgeous beads and threads from the http://www.beadmerchant.co.uk/ http://www.stef-francis.co.uk/hand-dyed-yarns both arrived in super fast time with affordable delivery costs.

All because my sister had a little girl last week , my niece  shes called Katy so I thought I would work on an embroidery piece for her. I thought her name would look pretty all stitched up with pink threads and ribbons with some lovely silk fabric applique thrown in decorated with a few lovely beads. 

I look at the colour pallet and it is so not my style as I try my hardest to keep away from pinks as I just do not get along with pink...

Watch this space, I've no idea how long this is going to take :)

New design for my brand name

So I though I would have a quick mess around in Photoshop and it turns out I like what I did so I put my name above it. Just goes to show it doesn't need to take hours to create something that works and that you like all at the same time woohoo. Anyway I like it and I'm happy with it for now. I wonder how long before I start tweaking at it. :/

Harkerstyle now has its own page on Facebook and is also now tweeting on Twitter. Now to make sure I keep up with things and post things regularly. This could be exciting. This could also keep me busy. This is goooood. I better get doing things so I have new things to post :) yay!

pebbles

Went to the Headlands yesterday to see what could be seen in the rock pools, lots of mini crabs the smallest ive ever seen so cute as small as my little fingers finger nail! I really loved the colours of the pebbles together on the 'beach' all naturals reminds me of having projects at uni and choosing colour pallets. How I miss those days if I could go and do it again I totally would. anyhoo some pics. not amazing ones but hey. :)

flowers and cats

What happend to our may summer? That's it. I'ts over. managed to take some pictures in my garden when the sun showed its face. I forget how pretty my garden is every year n then BOOM the flowers are everywhere. So anyways heres some pictures of some flowers so you can see how awesome my garden is... and my kitty cat max :)

After seeing that the tickets have been sold out at download festival I got nervous. I dont know why but I did. and then this morning ... my god damn ticket arrived! ooooh yeeeaaaah. Time to get my metal on. yeehaaa!

walking round tesco I spied the sale section in the clothes, and I just cant seem to resist having a good look through. for a while now I have been after a black jacket like this one.. who would have thought I'd buy one in my size for just £7 with a saving of £23 I also got a little excited :)

my little bag

I made this a while ago, but my internets been so lame I just never got round to posting it, I'm pretty pleased with it took me while to stitch the heart on but I enjoyed getting back into stitching and being all creative n funky like but i dont miss the backache :/ Instead of buying some bags in I decided to use up some of the fabric I have kicking about the place and I might aswell have a good practice at stitching the bags together to get my seams right, gona work on a few different things too, I need to keep busy and build up my skills :)

hmmm

I have succeed in making some sort of fabric wallet type shape complete with lining and design, however now I have finished it, when its unfastened I'm unsure if it's too long and a little impractical. So I'm unsure where this leaves me. I don't think it would work if it was any shorter unless I put a zip on it but then it would just be a boring coin purse or something I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. hmm I'll shove a pic up at some point. *sigh*

Me.. on the sewing machine.. sewing things! not entirely sure what. but it will lead somewhere I'm sure, I need more practice at perfecting straight lines though need to be a little more proffessional if I'm to take this anywhere serious, but still this is progress and I want to keep at it!

Well my love for spongebob squarepants has evolved finally in me being inspired for a drawing. Who could have known? I got my pencil and my fine liner and I actually finished a drawing I'm pleased with and can see potential for further creativities with. woohoo. I have plans. Pretty cool plans, can I actually kick myself up the backside and make myself go through with these plans. I sodding well hope so. I have new drawings in the pipeline, and then ... I'm going to actually screen print. My god. I'ts been far to long.
